Recently a friend of mine asked me about it, and it made me feel like I owe you guys an explanation as to why I don’t mind early access on TSR when I’ve always expressed my unwillingness to use Patreon.įirst of all, you need to know that TSR added the option to give their VIP members more perks. I am taking this opportunity to talk about the new VIP early access option. And the team tries real hard to be as user friendly as possible.Īnd being a VIP member comes with many perks, and it pays the artists as well. Between paying for a CC and waiting a few seconds, the choice was easy for me.Īlso someone once said that the ads were only there to give the users viruses, I mean come on!! They are there to pay the artists who spend hours or days, even weeks sometimes working on a CC. They might be annoying but they are necessary.īefore I became an FA, I wasn’t a VIP member and had to wait for my downloads and go through the ads, but I always believed that the CC I get at the end is worth the wait. The ads and the VIP program are there to pay us artists and to maintain the site. Now that we talk on a daily basis on discord, it feels like a big family, everyone is so friendly and nice, I promise you guys, the humans behind the TSR creations and the website’s staff are some of the best people I met in the Sims community. The TSR team never forces us to do anything and when they ask for something, the site manager does it so politely, and whatever they ask from us is always optional. We artists are treated well and are well compensated and respected. You have to understand guys, that to me and my fellow artists, TSR doesn’t feel like a website for which we work but rather a platform that helps us share our CC and pays us for it. My TSR incentives are my only income and allow me to work from home, this is really convenient for me, since I had to quit my RL job because my mental health couldn’t take it anymore. TSR pays me enough money to sustain me, provided that I create enough CC of course. Every Featured Artist gets incentives for all of their creations. Maybe it’s the ads, or the VIP program, I honestly don’t know or because it was payable years ago. Now and then tho, I read negative comments about it and I frankly don’t understand the reason behind that. I have loved TSR from the moment I found out about S4CC a few years ago, and it is the reason why I became a CC creator. I don’t know if it’s clear and well structured, but it comes from my heart. Thank you for this post, I always wanted to speak about this.Īnd guys, I’m so sorry for the long post, I just wanted to share my opinion with you. It saddens me to see people are making things up like that. ^ Yep, we are 100% paid for our work, and also yeah - for some of us TSR work is our full-time job (including me, I work 50+ hour weeks sometimes to deliver content). I would like to ask people to share this post so that this awful stain on TSR can be lessened. You adjust it to your pace, your level of procrastination and your need of more or less money. It really hurts and angers me to learn of these speculations because compared to my old job TSR is heaven, where you make what you want, you post when you want. I quit my day job and I basically live from what TSR pays me, as many artists on site. I can assure anyone that all artists are payed and we even get bonuses depending on projects we do or collabs or recently early access. It has come to my attention that there are these comments flowing through Sims community how TSR is not paying their artist and all the money from VIP goes to company.
